The risks of complications are much greater during childbirth. Excision causes complete insensitivity during their sexual intercourse and can sometimes lead to incontinence.
You should know that excision affects three million women in Africa every year. In France, this exists but the cases are quite rare and when it happens, the consequences are dramatic, for example a 7-year-old girl circumcised by her parents who had to be transported to the hospital.

Girls and women traveling to their countries of origin can very well be victims of excision. She lived through hell, at first I couldn’t even heal her or look at the extent of the damage because the pain was so terrible, it was as if she had been tortured. «
A campaign against female excision was set up in April 2009 by the French government, several posters were put up and 100,000 brochures were distributed. This campaign was associated with another cause, forced marriage, to fight violence against women.
