Joydivision French Kiss edible lubricant test

edible lubricant french kiss, water-based lubricant

Still in the wake of my lubricant tests, today I’m testing an edible lubricant offered by the Joydivision brand. French Kiss edible lubricant.

As a reminder, Joydivision is a brand specializing in intimate products and more particularly sex toys. Last July, I had also performed the Joystick travel vibrator test.

Once again, I take this opportunity to thank the Ooh my Gode store who kindly sent me 2 copies of the edible lubricant French Kiss so that I can share my opinion on this product with you.

Small quick precision, I tested the French Kiss lubricant Strawberry and the French Kiss lemon lubricant

Packaging of French Kiss edible lubricant

For the packaging of the edible lubricant French Kiss, we are on the same principle as for the lubricant American Bioglide. A simple tube that looks like the tubes of cream that can be found in pharmacies.

The tube is gray in color with a fruit in presentation. Indeed, the intimate lubricant is flavored with lemon or strawberry. So for the strawberry lubricant there is a large strawberry on the packaging and for the lemon lubricant, a large slice of lemon.

Frankly, I don’t really like the presentation, I find it a bit kitsch but at least things are clear.

Also on the packaging, there is a logo with a glass and a fork indicating that it is a edible lubricant.

To open it, just unclip the cap. This type of opening is quite practical especially if you have slippery fingers. I prefer the spout system but this cap system is still quite adequate.

The capacity is 75 ml.

French Kiss edible lubricant material

First of all, it is important to specify that French Kiss edible lubricant is an intimate water-based gel.

As usual, the list of components is just incomprehensible. I will therefore provide you with some details on its composition.

Here is the list of ingredients: Water, glycerol, hydroxyethylcellulose, sodium saccharinate, sodium benzoate, sodium lactate, sodium methylparaben, flavors

Glycerol: is an alcohol present in the body. It maintains the water content of the skin and the top content of the lubricant when it is in its packaging.

Hydroxyethylcellulose: this component is a binder often used in cosmetics.

Sodium saccharinate: it is a sweetener which brings a sweet touch to the lubricant while avoiding the addition of sugar.

Sodium benzoate: this is a preservative widely used in the food industry.

Sodium lactate: this is a thickener that is obtained by fermentation of a source of sugar.

Methylparaben sodium: this is a paraben that prevents the proliferation of bacteria in the lubricant. This paraben, found naturally in blueberries, is considered acceptable by the site consoglobe.com

As you can, French Kiss edible lubricant is not an organic product. Several components may raise some questions. This being the case, even if some of the ingredients may be doubtful, know that they must be consumed in very high doses to see damage to the body. So other than drinking gallons and gallons of lubricant, you don’t risk much.

However, if as a precaution you do not want to approach this type of product, it is still better to choose a organic lubricant.

Regarding its texture, French Kiss edible lubricant is transparent and quite fluid. Water-based lubricants are fairly easy to recognize because of their lighter texture than silicone-based lubricants.

Regarding the smell for the edible lubricant French Kiss lemon we are similar to the smell of a lemon candy, the same goes for the taste. Personally, I preferred the smell and taste of French Kiss strawberry lubricant, which is more like a Krema candy.

Effectiveness of French Kiss edible lubricant

For anal lubrication, it is better to abstain. I much prefer to use a silicone lubricant for anal sex. On the other hand for vaginal lubrication it is quite satisfactory.

I also liked the taste for practicing oral sex. It brings a playful side to oral sex. Surprising at first, because I have never used edible lubricant but I enjoyed the experience, and while writing I think back to my partner who also seemed delighted with this test!

Big positive point, it does not stick! I just hate lubricants that leave a sticky effect on the skin.

For cleaning, it is easier than with a silicone-based lubricant. A little water and hop more task.

Conclusion on French Kiss edible lubricant

It is a good lubricant that is in the mid-range. Nothing exceptional but nothing to reproach him either if it is not its composition which will be able to slow down the most demanding in the matter.

Let’s say I would put it in the category of fun and occasional lubricants. Its taste brings a little touch of originality which allows to diversify the games of couple.
